Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan X 12GB Overclocking Results

Our GTX Titan X wasn't quite able to surpass the claimed 1.4GHz boost speeds when overclocking, but we weren't far off. Using the maximum power and temperature targets (110 percent and 91°C respectively), we added 190MHz to the base clock, taking it to 1,192MHz (1,266MHz boost). At this speed, it was boosting to a constant 1,341MHz under load (1,366MHz maximum), which is 18 percent higher than we observed at stock speeds. We did manage to get through a few benchmarks at even higher speeds, but in others the card crashed, so we dialled it down. Still, it's a very commendable result, especially for such a high power GPU.

The memory settled at around 8GHz effective, a very nice 14 percent boost. This is the first time we've dealt with SK Hynix's 7GHz memory chips, as all 900 series cards we've seen have used Samsung ones, and it's good to see that they overclock just as well. At 8.1GHz, the card was still benchmark stable, but with artifacts showing we dropped it back down a notch. The results of our efforts are below:
