Computex 2016 - Phanteks

At the end of the day, we just had time to pay Phanteks a visit. The star of the show here was most definitely the Enthoo Elite, which is the title Phanteks has given to the case previously known as Project 916 from CES. Phanteks isn't pulling any punches here – this is a true flagship case designed solely for elite systems and dream PCs. It's an absolute beast as well, made mostly from aluminium, including a 4mm thick outer shell, and glass, door-style side panels. It has six radiator mounting points, with most of these supporting full-size triple or even quad-fan models. It is designed to be modular all over and to give users as much flexibility as possible. It can even support dual systems (the second being a mini-ITX one) and with the Phanteks power splitter you can power both with a single PSU should you wish. That said, it can also accommodate two. Other features include HDMI pass-through and controllable RGB lighting. The Enthoo Elite is expected to launch in September for an eye-watering €699.

As you may have seen in the photos above, Phanteks is also moving into the world of custom water-cooling, using its own waterblocks in the Enthoo Elite build. These are the product of its own manufacturing and design rather than reliance on an OEM. Phanteks wants to tie its water-cooling gear into its case design, for example by adding RGB LEDs to its waterblocks and syncing them with the external RGB lighting control on certain cases. We also saw waterblocks using the same sand-blasted aluminium as its premium chassis (and in the same colours too), as well as Viton O-rings.
