Alienware Aurora 7500

Alienware Aurora 7500 The Aurora 7500
Back in the mists of time (well, last month) we took a look at the Watford Aries 62342342 PC, a system built here in the UK and targeted at those looking for a good quality, well priced, mid-range system.

Well, if that PC was the Ford Focus of the middling PC world - solid, decent performance, a good base to progress from - the machine we have in for review today is undoubtedly the 350Z of the PC world. It's uneconomical, sports great curves, will make you the envy of your mates - and goes like hell.

The Alienware Aurora 7500 packs all the hardware you need to leave every game in your collection begging for frame-rate mercy. Dual GeForce 7800 GTXs pack absolutely awesome power, and this is the first Alienware system to use the 7800. At the centre of the system is a dual-core Athlon X2 processor which is paired up with two old enthusiasts' favourites - 1GB of stunningly fast Corsair 3200XL memory and an Asus A8N-SLI motherboard.

We've reviewed all of these components separately, and found them to be absolutely top of their class. Alienware have really put together an enthusiasts' dream shopping list.

The system sports the familiar Alienware chassis: available in a variety of colours, this one is unapologetically jet black. Whilst the finish will show up even the slightest fingerprints, look after it and you'll have a system that really can't be faulted, looks wise.

Who is the system for? Well, simply, it's for those who want to own the absolute pinnacle of gaming hardware. With perfect component choices top-to-bottom, it's for those who want the maximum gaming experience with the minimum of hassle. With Alienware's recent pricing adjustments, it's also a system that's more competitively priced than ever.
