Computex 2016 - Sapphire

With AMD still tight-lipped about its upcoming new GPUs in the Polaris family, Sapphire was pretty limited in what it could show us, with the Nitro series of cards for the R9 300 and R9 Fury cards already well established and much covered.

Nevertheless, we did have an interesting conversation whereby the company implied that it was looking to expand the Nitro Gaming Series to products beyond just graphics cards. As an example, it had on display work by NFC systems, including a fully custom chassis as well as the S4 Mini, which is just 4.3L in internal space. Sapphire sees potential in such small cases especially as GPUs continue to get more efficient and drive down size requirements as a result. Absolutely nothing is confirmed currently, but Sapphire mentioned its working relationship with NFC and the possibility of having the S4 Mini, or something like it, becoming a Nitro Gaming Series chassis, for example.

We'll have more from Sapphire once Polaris launches, you can be sure.
