Making the Case
I had no time to play around and experiment, so after finalising every detail, I went on to a water-jet company to have it cut ASAP. The problem was it took them two days before they had me scheduled for the actually cutting. And more problems occured: they could only cut, and not do engraving or etching.

After some begging to get next in lime, I managed to get all the good stuff in my workshop (aka kitchen), but it needed a lot of work. Filing was needed to be done and bending by hand was the greatest problem of them all. It took me two days without sleep just to bend, file and glue everything.


Now the Armorsuit was starting to take form. Somehow it took away all the stress out of my system. But more had to be done. I needed details!

So I went back to my workstation and decided to get my plotter and cut the details using 3M stickers and my plotter. Then I manually and patiently attached everything to the aluminum surface.

Meanwhile, I was also modding the motherboard shroud, and had got the Corsair air-series fan rings for some painting. I also painted all the aluminum parts with grey primer. After one hour of drying time, I painted it a black base colour.


After a day of painting, I had to let it dry for at least 36 hours for curing time before I assembled everything. Now was a perfect time for me to take a break. After that, the pressure was on again. There was only one day left for me before I sent it to Asus Taipei, Taiwan. Waaaah! Panic!
