Capcom has finally unveiled the release date for the PC version of semi-scary co-op zombie shooter, Resident Evil 5 - promising that the game will be available throughout Europe on September 18th.

On top of that, Capcom has confirmed that the PC version of the game will also have full support for Nvidia's GeForce 3D Vision system, which uses stereoscopic glasses to produce a truly 3D effect. Though the system is only compatible with certain monitors, we've found that the effects (though somewhat hit-and-miss) can be quite dramatic.

If you're one of those few people who has the required 3D Vision hardware but isn't sure about whether or not to pick up the game, Capcom has also released a Resident Evil 5 3D vision benchmarking tool that should help you get an idea for how the system works in the game.

After that, if you're still not sure then you can always check out out Resident Evil 5 PS3 review - or read the cliffnotes version, which is basically "Good, but Resi 4 was better."

If you've already played Resident Evil 5 are are jonesing for another Resi fix then be sure to keep your eyes on the front page - there's an iPhone version of Resident Evil 4 on the way, as well as rumours that Resident Evil 6 will reboot the entire series.
