DFI combines its enthusiast prowess with ATI's RD600 chipset, which finally gets to see the light of day. We have a look at DFI's LANParty UT ICFX3200 T2R/G to find out whether it is all hype or if DFI really has tamed a beast.
Representatives from both Intel and ATI have responded to the rumours regarding Intel's removal of the ATI chipset license.
DFI has confirmed that it is readying a LANParty-series motherboard based on ATI's upcoming RD600 chipset for Intel Core 2 Duo processors.
Intel has pulled ATI's chipset license in the wake of the AMD/ATI merger. It is unclear whether current projects will see the light of day though.
COMPUTEX 2006: ECS has one of ATI's RD600 reference boards on its stand. RD600 is an update of RD580, with added support for Intel's upcoming 2 Duo processors.
