Microsoft has released a security bulletin detailing a major security hole in all versions of Internet Explorer, which allows for remote code execution - and there's no fix as yet.

The alleged critical flaws in Firefox's JavaScript implementation have turned out to be a hoax. Neither hacker has managed to execute code via the flaw.

Two hackers have stated that Firefox is critically flawed, because of the way it handles JavaScript. Speigelmock and Wbeelsoi detailed the flaw in a slide at the ToorCon hacker convention.

According to reports, Symantec's line of AntiVirus software is vulnerable to attack. The problem, labelled as highly critical, is related to the way that Norton AntiVirus handles RAR files. Full details inside.
