Once opened you notice instantly that this is a steel case, in fact, it looks like one of dozens of cases you will see in your local PC store. The build is plain yet functional and unless you are planning to window it, this should not pose a problem. The motherboard tray is, in a manner of speaking, removable. This is no easy task however, and frankly unless you need to for a specific reason I'd leave it where it is. As this is mass manufactured pressed and rolled steel the are a few sharp edges inside, so be careful when you have your hands in there.

If you dont use the floppy drive option there is enough space in the 0508ULA-5G1 to fit up to 8 hard disk drives, the top four of which would be cooled by the 120mm fan set behind the compressor turbine style mock fan in the facia. I suggest you are very careful when installing your hard drives, the inner wall of the bay is peppered with sharp edges and slipping in there could be messy and painful.

The PCI/AGP card slots are occupied by push-out blocking tabs, that can be replaced easily once a slot is no longer required. The pop-riveted steel construction is reenforced by corner pieces, essential considering that with both panels and the motherboard tray removed the frame is not that robust. There is space on the rear panel for an 80mm fan if you should require it on top of the gargantuan beast of a fan on the side.

Here you can see the beast from the inside. There are no quoted CFM stats, but once spinning this thing can shift a fair amount of air - although we were left wondering how tubulent the airflow is inside the case with a fan in front and no fan apart from the PSU fans at the rear. A handy addition is the finger catch at the rear of the panel, allowing easier removal and ensuring you don't put a grubby hand on the shiny finish while removing it. Included in the case is a box of the standard bits and bobs you find with most enclosures. Usefully it includes a PC Speaker, useful if you want to test your motherboard before installing it.
