Performance Analysis

The default thermal performance is a bit mediocre, with both the CPU and GPU hitting delta T results that were higher than we'd ideally like. The combination of having a mostly solid front panel and fans which proved to be fairly slow spinning explains the results, and one benefit at least is that noise from the P8 is pretty subdued.

Ultimately, if you have decent coolers for your core hardware and/or you're not running aggressive overclocks, we can't see the P8 causing you any problems, but there is room for improvement in this area.

Conclusion

The P8 is similar to the P110 Luce in that it is a very decent case in most regards but doesn't really add much to the case market or show us anything we haven't see before. It's a very safe design, and it could be argued that Antec is imitating rather than innovating. That doesn't render the P8 a bad product, however.

While there are a few negatives and niggles, none are major. Hardware is easy to install, cables are pretty simple to keep out of the way, dust filters are everywhere that matters, and the build quality is acceptable. Value is definitely a strong point for Antec, too, as you get support for a lot of drives and large radiators, three LED fans, and a tempered glass side panel. While it won't win any awards for novelty, the P8 deserves a look in if £60 or thereabouts is what you're looking to spend on a case.
