Totally Twisted

By Mishter_Jingles
Worklog: Here

We weren't sure what to expect when we popped in to Mishter_Jingles' project log for the first time but once we'd seen a few of his early designs and renders, we just had to stay and read it all. What met us was a curious wooden case with what looks like a base full air vents.

As it turns out these vents will often be filled with things like hard drives and even custom radiators - yep Totally Twisted is water-cooled. We suspect you'll want to keep on reading too and believe us when we say things look like they're going to get better.

Above are the renders that has us interested from the outset. You can see the base filled with the tubes looking like something from the engine bay of a well tuned car. As good as they are though they don't do the real thing justice.

The case took form pretty quickly as we can see just how different from the renders it looks with an almost feng shui-like shape to it. We can also see that curious bottom section with the ducting in place.

Now things are really getting interesting! Mishter_Jingles made a wooden surround for what appears to be a Cape or possibly custom reservoir but he later ditched this design and used a collection of copper tubes instead. Instead of using an off the shelf radiator from the likes of XSPC or Swiftech, Mishter_Jingles decided to make his own. As he mentions the benefits of this are that you can choose the shape and you can choose the materials although the skill needed to make one isn't something you'll find at your local DIY store too though!

Here's the inside of the radiator with all the copper tubes in place. It's a fascinating design although it could also be at home in your average airing cupboard too! We can also see the reservoir cage we saw earlier fitted to the side of the case. There's so much going on here that we struggled to get to grips with it all when bringing it to Mod of the Month! However it's here now and deserves its place amongst this month's line up and should look fantastic when it's finished.
