1/5th RC Abrams M1A2 Case Build by Spudnik

Project Log: Here

Vehicle mods are nothing new on bit-tech. We've seen stealth bombers and all manner of game-related projects over the years. However, it's possible we haven't seen anything quite on the scale of forum user Spudnik's 1/5 scale M1A2 tank that he's making with his son.

It's a project of mammoth proportions and countless parts including dozens of tank track pieces that were combined and slotted round the guide wheels. You get some sense of scale when you see the shell, including the main gun next to a human-sized work bench.

As if this isn't enough, the tank will house two PCs, presumably so the father and son modding team can continue their Battlefield gaming sessions. Of course, a static model is one thing, but we've also spied two huge electric motors - the tank will be controlled using laptops. All we can say is with the amount of metal going into the tank, we doubt you'd want it rolling over your foot.
