Finishing up the outside

The next step was to remake the front of the case. On the ATCS 840 there is a great big slab of aluminum at the front that hides the fan behind. It clearly needed some attention to bring it in line with the style the sides and roof had taken.

With the piece removed, I masked it up again and did some more angular cutting with my Dremel.

Since I only need one optical drive I so I decided to hide the other 5.25in drive bays behind a plate.

With the outsides now finished, now it's on to the inside of the case. Despite opting for a classic window in the case, I didn't want any visible cables or actual hardware and I wanted the outside designs to mirror the inside. That meant everything inside the case had to be covered with engraved or cut panels.

First to do then was the 1kW Cooler Master Silent Pro M power supply.
