Epia Alloy by GoTaLL

By now, Micke "GoTaLL" Gustafsson should need no introduction - he has developed into one of the most prolific modders in the community and we have featured his work on many occasions here at bit-tech.

One of his most high-profile mods this year has been this Alloy mod, which features a mini-ITX computer built onto an alloy wheel. It also uses the awesome Pico-PSU to provide power.

The project actually turned out rather different from how it started, and we showed the evolution of the mod in the article. The first draft used a full-sized ATX PSU for starters, and also had a clear acrylic backplate. The final version drops both of these in favour of a more minimalist look.

The project was partly inspired by a photo taken by one of the bit-tech staff at an AMD event. Ironically, the finished thing uses a VIA processor!
