Team 3, Modded by Frenchies, ran into various issues throughout the competition, and were slowed down by their own ambitions to add numerous metal sheets to the 509. It's extensively modded as a result, but they also struggled to fully complete their build on time. They were so busy that photographing their progress was difficult. Nonetheless, their black and blue colour scheme is consistent throughout the build and covering up the PSU keeps things clean.

UK duo Dave Alcock (davido_labido) and Daniel Harper (B NEGATIVE) had it rough during the last half of the competition, battling sickness, fevers and nasty insect bites, yet still managed to pull off a mod that is, in our opinion, among the best of the bunch. The case was painted silver and the right side panel had the competition logo cut into it, with orange acrylic fitted behind and orange vinyl used to add detail elsewhere. The cables, coolant and even the SSD all match the colour scheme too. As well as their own health, Running with Scissors also had to contend with a leak in their water-cooling loop and a system that wouldn't turn on – in the end, they got it working with just 12 seconds on the clock.
