ECOSKIN FOR IPHONE 4 LAUNCHES WITH BIOMASTER TO MAKE IPHONE 4 SAFER TO USE
A recent Which? report shockingly revealed that mobile phones and smartphones have 18 times more bacteria on their surfaces than the average toilet seat, making them a hotbed of germs, viruses and potential diseases. With this in mind, Anokimobi has teamed up with Biomaster to launch the ecoskin™ for iPhone 4, a precision-made cover produced from recycled high grade plastic and impregnated with silver ions to reduce bacteria levels on mobile phones and make them safer and more hygienic to use.
Anokimobi, the company behind a number of eco-friendly and innovative phone accessories makes the ecoskin from 100% recycled material and it includes the same Biomaster antibacterial protection technology used in hospital materials to decrease the risk of infection.
Tom Tranter, director of Anokimobi says: "We know that people will be suprised by Which? Magazine’s discovery about bacteria on phones, as we don’t typically think of mobile devices as carrying this sort of risk. We’ve worked with the producers of Biomaster to get this advanced technology into our products and help improve their hygeiene.”
Paul Morris, managing director of Addmaster, which produces and supplies Biomaster, comments: “We never cease to be amazed by the stats that come out, and it shows that you can’t be too careful. We’re delighted that our product, designed originally for medical and industrial use, is finding applications in forward-thinking consumer items like the ecokin.”
The ecoskin™ continues Anokimobi's tradition of being environmentally friendly as both the cover and its packaging are made from recycled materials and can themselves be recycled. Furthermore, the product, unlike virtually all its competitors, is made entirely in the UK thus also reducing its carbon footprint.
