MSI announces the UK launch of the X400 Ultra-Slim notebook

London, 21ST September, 2009: MSI, the manufacturers of notebooks and components has today announced the UK launch of their super slim, ultra stylish, economically priced MSI X400 notebook. The uber stylish X400 offers consumers a Intel® Centrino processor, 14 inch HD widescreen display in 16:9 format with HDMI, bluetooth and wireless n connectivity. Weighing a lightweight 1.5 kg including battery, and just 9mm at it’s thinnest make the X400 one of the slimmest and most stylish 14 inch display notebooks on the market.

Priced at just £569 the X400 has the designer looks without the designer price tag. It is available in two sleek finishes piano black and pearl white. The design is modern, simple and chic with smooth edges and a glossy finish.

MSI have combined the best technology into this 14 inch package, offering a 16:9 widescreen display, so no more black bars at the top and bottom of your screen when playing back HD films. This is further enhanced by MSI exclusive Vivid Image Enhancement giving more 3D expression whilst watching movies, viewing/editing photographs or playing games. The X400 uses the latest LED Power-Saving backlit technology, providing colour fullness and brightness enhancing your visual experience, with the lower usage on power is brilliant as this means extra battery life.

The X400 comes with a 500GB hard drive for all of your storage requirements, 2GB memory, wireless connectivity for internet access on the move, 2 USB 2.0 ports for easy attachment to external devices and peripherals, a card reader, a in-built 1.3 mega pixel webcam and an external optical drive. Bundled in addition to this is a protective bag to house and carry your notebook and a 2 years collect and return warranty.

The X400 comes available in two different specification, to fit different budgets budgets:

* X400-038UK – comes with 500GB HDD, SU3500 CPU and an external optical drive - £569
* X400-074UK – comes with 320GB HDD, SU2700 CPU and no optical drive £499
