Today Futuremark officially announced the most highly anticipated PC performance benchmark, 3DMark 11. MSI, Futurmark’s official Mainboard and Graphics Card partner will launch two official Overclocking Competition. The first phase will focus on the Supreme overlocking card, the N480GTX Lightning. The second phase will focus on the best price performance of any NVIDIA GTX400 or GTX500 series card. Cash prices are available for the highest overclocks, best price performance and weekly lucky draws will ensure that every participant has the chance to win an MSI Mainboard, Graphics card or full version of 3DMark 11.


Phase 1: MSI N480GTX Lightning OC Competition
The MSI N480GTX Lightning is without a doubt the fastest GTX480 on the planet. With the launch of 3DMark 11 everyone will start with a clean sheet and new records can be set. Everyone with an MSI N480GTX Lightning can participate. The contestant with the highest 3DMark 11 score at the end of the competition will win a $1.000 prize. Furthermore, for the person breaking the current world record clock speed on the N480GTX Lightning, 1450 MHz, there’s an additional $1.000 prize!


Phase 2: Best Price/Performance Competition
This phase of the competition is open to every GTX400 and GTX500 series card. Every week of the competition, that week’s submissions will have their score divided by the Suggested Retail Price (SRP in USD) the contestant with the highest Price/Performance ratio will win a selection of MSI Mainboard and Graphics Card. The contestant with the highest Price/Performance ratio at the end of the competition will win a $1.000 prize. Additionally, every week three participants will be selected in a lucky draw and will be awarded either an MSI Mainboard, MSI Graphics card or full version of 3DMark 11.

Competition Rules:
Phase 1: MSI N480GTX Lightning OC Competition RULES
Contestants must use an MSI N480GTX Lightning, there is no restriction on other hardware.Score will be decided on the 3DMark 11 Performance Score.Contestants must successfully upload the score to the Futuremark ORB system.The contestant with the highest score wins a cash prize of US $ 1.000.The contestant who sets the highest GPU clock speed part 1450 MHz first, will be awarded a cash prize of US $ 1.000.

Phase 2: Best Price/Performance Competition RULES
Contestants can use any Graphics Card from the NVIDIA GTX400 and GTX500 series.Score will be decided on the 3DMark 11 Performance Score.Contestants must successfully upload the score to the Futuremark ORB system.Price/Performance Score will be calculated by dividing the 3DMark 11 Performance Score by the SRP of the graphics card used. Example: Performance Score = 20000, SRP = $400, 20000/400 = P/P Score = 50. The SRP used will be provided by MSI or determined by Futuremark, details will be posted on the event website.
