Kingston Technology Launches microSD Dual Adapter Pack To Maximise Ease-of-Use and Flexibility of Mobile Flash Cards

- New microSD to miniSD with Standard-size SD Bundle, Simplifies Multiple Card Formats for Mobile Users -

Kingston Technology, the world’s leading independent memory manufacturer, today announced the launch of a special microSD card, with dual adapter bundle. The new card with adapter is designed to allow maximum compatibility of microSD Flash memory cards across multiple platform devices.

Given the number of Flash memory formats available to digital device manufacturers and the growing popularity of the tiny microSD formats used within sleeker multifunctional mobile phones, the new dual adapter pack is the first of its kind to offer greater flexibility and cost savings to consumers.

Jim Selby, Product Marketing Manager EMEA, Kingston Technology comments, “With microSD cards being used in many multifunctional handsets, Kingston saw an opportunity to create a very practical product - costing considerably less than buying three different memory card formats of the same capacity. We aim to help people get the most out of their phone’s microSD cards.

Selby continues, “Now consumers can use the miniSD or standard SD card adapter with a microSD card to enjoy music, pictures and videos or easily transport files from a mobile phone to an MP3 player, digital camera, PC or printer. The new Kingston microSD dual adapter pack lets consumers do more with a single card investment and provides a win-win situation for retailers with fewer SKUs to stock.”

Consisting of a 1 GB microSD card, a microSD to miniSD card adapter and a microSD to full size SD card adapter - the new microSD Dual Adapter Pack [SDC/1-GB-2ADP] costs £10.60, (plus VAT) and is backed by a lifetime warranty for the 1-GB microSD card and 24/7 technical support.

Kingston Technology designs and builds mobile memory solutions ranging from miniSD and microSD cards to standard SD cards. As more advanced wireless devices are introduced, Kingston will continue to produce larger capacity mobile memory solutions to support their storage requirements.
