Calabasas, California, July 3, 2008- Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel, the world’s best known professional gamer, has donated ten scholarships for Camp Fatal1ty and iD Gaming Academy Camps to local video gamers. These scholarships are intended for children who have a love for playing video games and whose families could not otherwise afford to send them to these camps without financial assistance.

“Every kid that loves to play video games should get to experience this camp,” says Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel, “I am excited that on some level I am able to help make that happen with these scholarships.”

The scholarships, ten in all, will be dispersed among children and teens in Atlanta, Ga., Philadelphia, Pa., and Los Angeles, Ca. Three Camp Fatal1ty scholarships and one iD Gaming Academy Camp scholarship will be given to students at a local high school, two Camp Fatal1ty and two iD Gaming Academy Camp scholarships going to the Boys & Girls Club of Philadelphia, and the remaining two iD Gaming Academy scholarships going to children in Atlanta, Ga.

Camp Fatal1ty, offers the once-in-a-lifetime experience of learning a variety of Unreal Tournament® 3 tactics and strategies developed by Fatal1ty and other professional gamers- strategies which have been honed in international competitions. Teens will test their new battle skills against classmates in tournament play. While learning to create machinima and build highlight video reels of their best in-game moves and shots. Besides learning how to create games, students can expect late-night NVIDIA®-hosted gaming tournaments and LAN parties. To further introduce teens to the world of gaming, students will tour a major game development studio and learn first-hand how industry professionals create premier commercial games. At the end of the course, each student will take home a Fatal1ty-branded keyboard
