AGEIA Enhances Mobile Gaming With The Launch Of World’s First AGEIA PhysX Mobile Processor For High Performance Gaming Notebook PCs: Perfect For High-Performance Notebooks, The New Low-Power AGEIA PhysX 100M Processor Makes A Splash At The Games Convention 2007 in Leipzig, Germany

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – August 22, 2007 – Mobile gaming just got better: AGEIA™ Technologies, Inc. the pioneer in hardware-accelerated physics for PC and a leader in console games, today announced the world’s first PhysX™ Mobile processor, the AGEIA PhysX 100M™, for high performance gaming notebook PCs. The new PhysX 100M offers an unmatched combination of power, efficiency and design flexibility enabling innovative hardware designers to take PC notebooks to a stunning new level of excitement.

AGEIA PhysX Mobile Technology features incredibly low power and thermal design with power dissipation of nearly 10W under gameplay conditions. It also includes active power management to throttle down the clock in high heat system conditions and reduce the clock when not active. This new technology provides optimized PhysX processing resources to deliver the same peak PhysX processing throughput as the original AGEIA PhysX processor for desktop PCs. AGEIA has also worked closely with a leading PC designer to seamlessly integrate the PhysX 100M into a highly tuned PhysX mobile module for the ultimate in notebook gaming performance.

“AGEIA is fully committed to delivering the most intensely realistic gaming and entertainment experience to PC gamers,” said Manju Hegde, CEO of AGEIA Technologies. “We are enabling enthusiasts to enjoy games their way: whenever and wherever they want. AGEIA PhysX Mobile Technology further expands our position in the gaming market and we look forward to seeing new laptops bring gamers the freedom to enjoy incredible physics action on the go.”

"With amazingly large and high resolution screens, great sound systems, dual-core CPUs, and super powerful GPUs, mobile computers today are indeed fully qualified gaming machines. So it's only natural that we should be able to enjoy the extra dimension of real-time physics and destructible environments." said Dr. Jon Peddie, of Jon Peddie Research the multimedia research firm in Tiburon CA.

The new AGEIA PhysX 100M processor is available now. Exciting gaming notebooks powered by AGEIA PhysX Mobile Technology are expected to hit the market very soon. The new AGEIA PhysX 100M will be showcased at the upcoming Games Convention, Halle 4, G22, August 22-27 in Leipzig, Germany.
