Geil and EpicGear

Memory manufacturer Geil and its peripherals division EpicGear had a few interesting bits to show us during our brief booth tour.

First up is the EpicGear Morpha X mouse, which is designed with modularity in mind at every level. Ambidextrous in its default design, the Morpha X can be customised in numerous ways. In fact, the main shell, side buttons, weights, switches, and even the sensor can all be removed and swapped for different models. On top of this, customisable RGB lighting (through software) is available, just as it appears to be with every other product at Computex 2016.

Speaking of RGB (yes, there's more), Geil was showing its new Super Luce range of DDR4 memory, which thankfully avoids the need for cables that connect to the motherboard in order to power the lighting. Like it or hate it, RGB memory is becoming a common sight, and Geil appears to have caught up with the competition in cutting the cable from its modules. The Super Luce RGB sticks can be synchronised with Asus motherboard software control, but other motherboard manufacturers are still being worked on in this regard.
