Whether it’s evaluating the latest PC games or churning through new console releases, we always endeavour to bring you the best game reviews. While 2009 hasn’t had a bumper crop of top games when compared to the year before, there has still been plenty worth getting excited over.

We didn’t just stay cooped up in our new London offices playing game this year though – we actually managed to get out and about, visiting Cologne, Germany for the massive GamesCom 2009 tradeshow. While we were there we got a chance to chat with developers from the likes of Rebellion and FutureMark, as well get hands-on with everything from LittleBigPlanet PSP to Aion.

Below we’ve rounded up some of our favourite reviews (both good and bad) from the last twelve months, along with interviews. There’s plenty of gaming features from this year too, but we linked all them back on the first page.
