UK webshop Overclockers UK has announced an event starring noted speed enthusiasts Ian '8Pack' Parry and Dagmar Hivizman in which they will attempt to break several overclocking world records, their efforts to be streamed live via Twitch.

The event, which starts today and runs until the weekend, will see 8Pack and Hivizman use a rig which includes four MSI AMD Radeon R9 290X Lightning graphics boards on an Asus RIVE Black Edition X79 motherboard to break as many world records as possible, starting with the Firestrike X4 score. In pre-testing, sadly not recorded for posterity, Overclockers UK claims that 8Pack was able to already break the existing world record - and that he's confident he'll be able to push the system even further with an audience to egg him on.

The pair of professional overclockers will also be attacking the 3DMark Vantage, 3DMark11 and Catzilla benchmark world records - all in the name of drumming up interest in his own-brand gaming rigs, produced in partnership with and sold through Overclockers UK.

The live stream will begin on Overclockers UK's Twitch channel later today.
