Microsoft has announced that it will soon release a new TV-watching service for Xbox Live, labelled as Xbox Live TV.

Unveiled as part of Microsoft's E3 2011 conference, Xbox Live TV will allow users to watch TV via their Xbox 360 consoles, as well as other video services. Sky TV, Canal Television and Youtube were all named as partners for the service.

Mixed Martial Arts broadcasters UFC Live has also partnered with Microsoft for this launch.

Xbox Live TV will have a focus on Kinect's voice control features too, with users able to change what they are watching by declaring what they'd rather see to the Xbox 360.

Xbox Live TV will see an Autumn release in the US, as well as other unnamed global territories.
