UK retailers Game and GameStation have announced the extra content and benefits that players can expect if they pre-order Electronic Arts' upcoming shooter, Battlefield 3.

The main pre-order incentive is what Electronic Arts is calling the Physical Warfare Pack, which includes a series of new weapons for use in the game.

These include the Type 88 LMG and bipod, which provides extreme firepower with tight accuracy. There's also the SKS sniper rifle flash suppressor, which increases the stealth attributes for Recon units and some armour piercing flechette ammo for the DAO-12 semi-automatic shotgun.

Those who pre-order the game will also get immediate access to the day-one expacion pack, Back to Karkand, which features remakes of old Battlefield 2 maps redone in the Frostbite 2 engine.

The maps within the Back to Karkand pack include Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula.

Take a look at our latest Battlefield 3 preview to see what we think of the game. There's also a trailer below and you can check out more of those in the Game Trailers section.
