If you're a big ol Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare multiplayer fan then Nvidia has got some great news for you today in that the graphics card manufacturer will be releasing a bunch of free mutliplayer maps for the game later this week.

According to IAmFourZeroTwo, the website of Infinity Ward developer Robert Bowling, Nvidia has teamed up with the game-makers to release the Modern Warfare Variety Pack for free to PC gamers on June 5th.

The Variety Map Pack was originally launched as downloadable content for the Xbox 360 at a cost, but Nvidia has ponied up the sponsorship funds to let PC gamers have a go for free.

"Nvidia is making it possible for PC players to download the map pack for Free on the PC thanks to their sponsorship," said Bowling on his blog. "In addition, expect to see quite a few promotions popping up leading up to the launch of the map packs on the 5th and beyond. I know NVIDIA has a lot of great things planned for PC users in addition to maps becoming available."

Bowling went on to mention that Nvidia would be launching contests and promotions as part of the campaign launch.

The map pack has four free multiplayer levels included; Broadcast, Chinatown, Killhouse and Creek. The launch of the free map pack will coincide with the launch of the 1.6 Patch for the PC version of the game which will add support for a few new features and fix a server glitch according to Bowling.
