Wii U games announced

Following the unveiling of the Wii U Nintendo and it's partners have rushed to announce the first batch of titles that for the successor to the original Wii.

There are too many of them with too few firm details, so we've simply lumped the list in here. Some of the titles are only known by working titles, which we've indicated.

Nintendo's Wii U, which was previously known as Project Cafe, was announced at E3 2011. It's a new console with an innovative controller which incorporates a six-inch touchscreen.

  • Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge - Working title
  • Darksiders 2
  • Batman: Arkham City
  • DiRT
  • Assassin's Creed
  • Tekken - Working title
  • Metro: Last Light
  • Aliens: Colonial Marines
  • Ghost Recon Online
  • Lego City Stories
  • Smash Bros.
  • Raving Rabbids - Working title
  • FIFA - Working title
  • Madden NFL - Working title
Ubisoft has also announced games for the Wii U console, but has not yet revealed names for the new FPS and multi-sports family titles it has planned.

Electronic Arts has also pledged to back the console, but has not revealed any titles yet - though Battlefield and Army of Two titles are rumoured.

Nintendo, meanwhile, has demoed a number of titles at E3 2011 - Chase Mii, Shield Pose, Zelda HD, New Super Mario Bros. Mii and Battle Mii - but hasn't yet committed to official release versions of these games. For now, we're treating them as technology demos.
