Nintendo is launching two new Wii bundles in November, despite this being the same month that its new Wii U system launches.

One of the new bundles will feature Just Dance 4 whilst a second bundle will include Skylanders Giants and the related peripherals required to play the collectible toy-based title. The Skylanders Giants bundle will feature a turquoise blue Wii and also include a figure that is exclusive to the package.

The new bundles are launching on November 4 in the US, 14 days before the Wii U launches. In recent financial reports, Nintendo stated that it aims to sell 10.5 million Wii and Wii U units by the end of March 2013, 5.5 million of which it expects to be Wii Us.

'Together with our third-party publishing partners, we're delivering maximum value for families who want to get the most for their home entertainment dollar,' said Nintendo of America vice-president of licensing Steve Singer.

The Just Dance 4 and Skylanders Giants bundles will carry a suggested price of $129.99 and $149.99 respectively. By contrast, the Wii U will have a launch price of between $300 and $350.

Nintendo's most recent financial results for the six months leading up to September 2012 shows it has made a loss of approximately $350m, with sales decreasing by 6.8% to $2.52bn. This has been partly attributed to weaker than expected sales of the 3DS outside its home market of Japan.
