NFS: Carbon demo is out

EA has released the demo for its upcoming addition to the incredibly popular Need For Speed franchise in readiness for Carbon's full release on the 3rd November.

The demo includes a Circuit track and a Drift track, as well as a Canyon Duel that is unlocked once you've completed the other two races. You can grab the demo over at FileShack.

Minimum system requirements are as follows, according to the readme file:
  • Windows XP Service Pack 2 (32Bit Edition only), Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4 operating system;
  • Intel Pentium 4 (or equivalent) CPU running at 1.7GHz or higher;
  • 64MB DirectX 9.0c compatible video card (NVIDIA GeForce 4 Ti/ATI Radeon 8500 or higher) using a supported chipset (see full details here);
  • 512MB RAM;
  • DirectX compatible sound card
