American McGee's Alice is being remade for a new re-release on consoles, according to game creator American McGee.

Speaking to CVG, McGee said that a download code for a remade version of the original would be included with the console versions of the upcoming sequel, Alice: Madness Returns.

'There's also going to be pretty significant release which is the original Alice brought over to the consoles,' explained McGee, 'so that a person who's purchased Madness Returns gets a download code and is able to bring Alice 1 onto their console and play through the entire original game alongside playing Madness Returns.'

McGee didn't reveal if the game would see a seperate release via XBLA and PSN, nor if it would show up on PCs. It's also unknown if the game would be updated at all, graphically or otherwise. Electronic Arts has declined to comment on the issue any further.
