Infinity MOD by longyny

Project Log: Here

When it comes to truly mega systems, traditional cases often fall short when it comes to having room for all the hardware and cooling gear (although Corsair's new Obsidian 900D does a reasonable job of filling that gap). So it's small wonder that when owners of these beastly machines are also handy at modding, that they decide to build their own case to meet their needs.

longyny's first project on bit-tech is one such PC, and along with a dual CPU motherboard sporting two Intel Xeons, three GeForce GTX 580 1.5GB's and and a massive 32 hard disks. The hard disks especially are one good reason why there is a need for big cases and mountains of water-cooling hardware - longyny is water-cooling them too using a total of seven Aquacomputer Aquadrive X4's.

Incredibly, just the hard disks draw over 200W, which is more than many gaming systems. As well as huge nine 120mm-fan radiator and three triple 120mm-fan radiators, longyny is using a rather crazy six laing D5 pumps, all kitted out with chromed housings.
