Watercooled CarPC by Angel ODProject Log: Here
We've seen car PCs before - usually low powered pico-ITX or mini-ITX-based systems. We have, of course, seen plenty of water-cooled PCs before. However, a water-cooled car PC is a new one on us, and no before you ask it doesn't involve siphoning rainwater off the windscreen wipers.
Some tasty early renders certainly gave us an appetite for more - a sleek, armoured-looking PC looked set to take centre stage, and the first components quickly rolled off the production line, in the form of the top and bottom panels, which were fashioned out of metal.
This has to be one of the most amazing waterblocks we've ever seem - totally custom made and it's all documented in the project log. With a clear acrylic top and filled with blue coolant, it's sure to be the centrepiece of the project.
More work was carried out on the case itself, while yet another water-cooling masterpiece entered the project log. This time, Angel OD made his own pump impeller and housing.
Above we can see the pump reassembled and looking spellbinding with the custom metal impeller - as with the project as a whole, we don't think we've seen anything quite like this before. Complete with a mini radiator, and the rest of the hardware, the project is looking nearly ready to roll.
Make sure you head over to the project log to see more of the action and head over to our forum
