Hypercube² Part II Hyperscreen: Design

Now I was really into the flow of things: after almost completing work on the case, I decided to do a Monitor mod as well. It\'s not really a mod actually; more like making a new encasing for a LCD panel. I found a 12 inch LCD panel with touchscreen for a very good price (second hand) . It doesn\'t have the best viewing angle or response time, but the idea of having a touchscreen, the small dimensions and the price convinced me to buy this.

The design of the encasing will be totally in transparent-edged plexi, in the same theme as the PC. Nothing rounded or beveled, just like Hypercube. I will call it the \"HYPERSCREEN\". After about 2-3 days, I had designed the plates and I could send them over to the shop.

I made a few 3D images to see if everything looked OK. I had some trouble designing the stand at first: all the things I drew looked like a crap. In the end I came up with the stand you see in the pictures - I think it looks alright. Now it\'s time to look at the construction.
