Program offers schools computers at competitive price with an extended trial period

CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA – December 23, 2009 – MSI Computer, a leading manufacturer of computer hardware products and solutions, is excited to announce the winners of the Educational Reseller Trial Program. MSI is giving away 60 computers to two of the participating school districts. The Magnolia School District in Anaheim, California will receive 30 free MSI U100 netbooks and the Hamilton-Jefferson Counties Regional office of Education in southern Illinois won 30 AE1900 touch screen PCs.

MSI’s Educational Reseller Program allows schools to purchase MSI computers at great price from local resellers. MSI even offers a 30 day free trial period for the school to test the new notebooks and touch screen desktops to make sure the systems are a good fit with their students.

“We’re very excited and grateful for this opportunity, and for MSI’s contribution to education in Hamilton and Jefferson Counties,” said Bryan Cross, Regional Superintendent of Hamilton-Jefferson counties. “Access to technology has become an important factor in today’s educational environment. MSI’s significant contribution offers us the chance to provide our communities with more access to that technology,” Mr. Cross added. “It is our intention to develop a community computer lab to provide ongoing cyber safety and computer usage education to members of the community, as well as professional development to all of our school’s staff and faculties.”

Initially schools have the option of choosing between two netbooks (Wind U100 or U123) and the AE1900 All-in-One Touch Screen. The netbooks offer students a great deal of mobility and are ideal for mobile computing labs. The AE1900 does an excellent job of eliminating clutter in the classroom with its compact design and ability to serve as user friendly media center.

“We understand the importance of social responsibility and being part of our community,” said Andy Tung, Sales VP MSI US. “Making it easier for schools to bring technology into the classroom was a natural fit and we believe our products can assist teachers in making the learning experience more interactive and engaging.”
