We understand that ATI's Radeon X1800XT 512MB will be shipping sometime over the course of today. According to a member of Beyond3D forums, Allstarshop are expecting stock today. The first cards will be priced over the $549 MSRP at $599 with free shipping.

It is not clear how many cards Allstarshop will have, but they are usually one of the first US retailers to have products after a launch; thus, we are quietly confident that they'll get more than a couple of cards. We will keep you updated when we find out more about stock levels.

There is still no sign of the Radeon X1800XT's that were supposed to arrive today in the UK, but we understand that the shipment should arrive by the end of the week.

If ATI could have the Radeon X1800XT available before they said it would be available, it could help to win some mind share back with the enthusiasts who have come to expect ATI to follow NVIDIA's hard launch strategy.

Hopefully, the price will follow that of the Radeon X1800XL, with both Connect3D and HIS' cards selling for under £300 in the UK.

Are you going to buy one, or just wait and see for what the GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB can do? The wait will be longer than was thought initially, as we can confirm that it will not be released on the 7th.
