We have just been speaking to GeCube about their thoughts on ATI's CrossFire multi-GPU system, and they seem generally happy about how it all fits together.

We will bring you more details of how CrossFire works later today, but we can see that GeCube have adopted a single slot cooling solution on their Radeon X850 CrossFire edition cards, using the very efficient uniwise cooling solution that features heatpipe technology.

This allows them to reduce their Radeon X850 cooling solution to single slot, giving them an advantage over virtually every other ATI board partner, as single slot Radeon X850 XT's are very hard to find outside of GeCube.

The Uniwise cooling solution, as the company calls it, is more than capable of keeping a Radeon X850 XT Platinum Edition cool with a fan that is not as loud as the stock Radeon X850 XT cooler, that also happens to be a dual slot cooling solution. Many of ATI's board partners have kept the stock Radeon X850 cooler, and it is nice to see that GeCube have demonstrated that its Radeon X850 CrossFire setup can be run with a single slot cooling solution.

Super fast gaming performance and single slot, silent cooling solutions. You can't get much better than that.
