NZXT has announced a new Kraken G-series adaptor plate for adding all-in-one sealed-loop liquid-coolers to graphics cards, just shy of four years after the launch of the original G10.

When NZXT announced the Kraken G10 back in November 2013, it sat as one of the only off-the-shelf options for easily converting a CPU all-in-one liquid cooling system to graphics card use. Elegant in its simplicity, the Kraken G10 replaced the stock cooler with a bracket which holds a compatible CPU water block against the GPU while a 92mm fan helped to cool components like the RAM and voltage regulator modules (VRMs).

Nearly four years on, and NZXT has decided the G10 needs a refresh. The result: the Kraken G12. Those familiar with its predecessor will find very few changes overall: The 92mm fan is still present and correct, and there's the usual circular cut-out for the CPU water block. Compared to its predecessor, though, NZXT claims the G12 boasts simpler installation and wider compatibility with both GPUs and liquid coolers - though it would rather you use its own Kraken family of all-on-one coolers, naturally.

NZXT claims the Kraken G12, when equipped with a compatible liquid cooling system, supports Nvidia's GeForce Titan X, Titan, GTX 1080, 1070, 1060, 980 Ti, 980, 970, 960, 780 Ti, 780, 770, 760, 680, 670, 660Ti, 660, 580, and 570 graphics cards; the list of supported AMD cards, meanwhile, runs to the Radeon RX 480, 470, R9 390X, 390, 380X, 380, 290X, 290, 285, 280X, 280, 270X, 270, R7 370, HD7970, 7950, 7870, 7850, 6970, 6950, 6870, 6850, 6790, 6770, 5870, 5850, and the 5830 - though the company warns that several models in the range will require a copper shim, not supplied as part of the kit, to make proper contact with the cooler.

NZXT has priced the Kraken G12 at $29.99 in the US (approximately £24 excluding taxes), with more information available on the official product page.
