I'm getting some Mako's in for review that's for sure. I heard them last year a CeBit when there were unfinished and unoptimised and I was super-impressed back then!

meh, you could get a fairly decent low-end amp and bookshelf speakers for that kind of money.
would be interesting to see how the two compared sonically but id be betting on the speakers made by the speaker company ;)

Well, you'd never differentiate actual preference to what you hear - after all it's almost entirely subjective.
