Does the Ducati co-branding make the cards go any faster?

I wondered about using flash to run an OS off for silence and low power, when it says stuff like 45Mb a sec sequential read/write does that mean its pap with random and concurrent activity?

Has anybody ever reviewed fast flash drives?

Just connect it up with a firewire CF reader (dont know why, but reviews seem to find them slightly better than USB 2.0 devices), pop your card in and run HDTach and compare it to a HDD.

Transfer speeds will be slower than a hard drive, by random access, seek time, etc should be quicker.
