HEMEL-HEMPSTEAD, 24th JULY, 2006 – BenQ today expands its LCD monitor line-up with BenQ FP241W, the world’s first LCD monitor with an HDMI interface and full 1080p HD support. BenQ FP241W also features the exclusive Advanced Motion Accelerator (AMA) and BenQ’s proprietary Senseye Technology as well as a 1000:1 high contrast ratio and flexible screen adjustment.

BenQ FP241W’s complete HD support feature enables users to enjoy lifelike images through new generations of consumer electronics such as game consoles and HD DVD players. The HDMI interface enables 5Gbps data transfer and eliminates the need for signal conversion, ensuring the best quality video and audio performance.

With 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) high resolution, BenQ’s FP241W is able to display more content whilst delivering crisp refined images and legible text and ensures no image distortion or cropping occurs. In addition, the BenQ FP241W’s 24-inch widescreen design allows users to view two independent A4-size windows simultaneously, making it ideal for professional applications such as finance, health care, research and communication centres. Moreover, the embedded PIP (picture-in-picture) function allows users to play back video from two different sources such as from a DVD player and a PC.

The FP241W’s flexible screen adjustment enables users to freely adjust the screen viewing angle for a more comfortable experience, including -45/45 left/right swivel angle and height adjustment. The BenQ FP241W also comes equipped with integrated USB ports for easy connections and various USB peripherals.

The BenQ FP241W will be available throughout Europe in September 2006 for the retail price of approximately £682.00 including VAT.
