Microsoft has quashed rumours that the new 250GB hard drive that will be available with some limited edition Xbox 360 bundles will also be sold separately.

The hard drive in question will be packaged with two limited edition bundles, one themed around Forza 3 and the other around Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Each bundle will come with a copy of the relevant game, a 250GB hard drive, two controllers, a headset and a specially decorated Xbox 360. Each bundle will cost you £250 GBP in the UK, but the Modern Warfare bundle is exclusive to GAME and GameStation in the UK. In the US each bundle will set you back $400 USD and should be available most places.

The hard drive will not be rolled out as a stand alone product however, according to comments made by Microsoft's Larry Hyrb in a short video. You can see the video itself over at ShackNews.

"This hard drive is not being sold separately," said Hyrb, being as clear as possible on the matter.

The bundles are set to go on sale on November 10th, with pre-order details set to be announced shortly. Let us know if you'll be picking one up in the forums.
