The official Penny Arcade game, Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness: Episode One (bloody hell!), has been priced in an official release. Hardware requirements for the PC, Mac and Linux version have also been released.

In the US, the PC, Mac and Linux versions will have a price tag of $19.95 - which should translate to about £15 most likely. The Xbox Live Arcade version will be priced at 1600 Microsoft points, which is $19.99 or £13.60.

The game has divided fans of the popular webcomic even before it has been released, with many accusing Tycho and Gabe of 'selling out'. Regardless, the game has still excited certain crowds with a promise of 3D, cel-shaded action-adventure RPG gaming from the combined brains of Tycho, Gabe and Ron Gilbert.

The current minimum specs are listed below for all platforms, with suggested OSs being Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Linux 32-bit x86, Mac OS X 10.4 or PowerPC G4. Pretty much every possible base is covered then.

GPU: ATI Radeon 9500 or better, NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 or better, Intel® GMA 950 or better with 64 MB of video memory.
RAM: 512 MB of available system memory.
Inputs: OS-supported keyboard and mouse.

HDD: 350 MB of available hard drive space (185 MB installed).
