ACE Team has just announce that this weekend will see another batch of free downloadable content for Zeno Clash fans that'll add in another bunch of challenge levels and Steam achievements to win.

Dubbed 'The Pit', the new content comprises of three new challenge levels for players who want more FPS brawling even after the singleplayer campaign. While the default challenge system sees players climbing a tower and fighting enemies on each floor, The Pit is almost the exact opposite and has players descending down through a series of levels filled with traps and baddies.

What's more, The Pit is filled with destructible floors that could see you plummet to your death if you aren't careful. ACE Team reckons it'll take a real Zeno Clash veteran to master the new levels and reach the top of the leaderboards.

If you haven't played Zeno Clash yet then we very much suggest you take a look at it, especially as it's going to be available for half-price this weekend if you buy it via Steam. There's also a demo available too.

Weird, wacky and oddly French-feeling if you believe our Zeno Clash review, Zeno Clash is all about giving players a kinetic-feeling melee system in first person perspective and letting them use it to beat up some of the oddest characters we've ever seen in a videogame.

If you're interested in learning more about the game then you can check out our interview with ACE Team's Andres Bordeu where he talks about the inspiration for the game and how the designs were eventually realised. That or you can read what little we know about the planned sequel, Zeno Clash 2.
