F.E.A.R. Combat is a new multiplayer-only game being given away by its developers.

It's pretty much the entire multiplayer component of the original game. Distributors Sierra are hoping that it will attract new players to the F.E.A.R. franchise.

The game will feature ten game modes, nineteen maps, twelve weapons, Punkbuster cheat software as well as mod support. Game modes include deathmatch, team deathmatch, conquer all, control and slow motion variants.

You can go get a product key from JoinFEAR.com which you can enter into the game when it's released for download on August 17th.

F.E.A.R. Extraction point, the single-player sequel, is out October 6.

Are you planning to get more involved in the multiplayer aspect of F.E.A.R. now that it's available for free? Let us know over in the forums.
