Activision has announced the release date for the PC version of the First Strike DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops, with pre-purchases already open on Steam.

According to a tweet from community manager Josh Olin, Call of Duty: Black Ops' first DLC pack will hit PC this Friday - March 25th. That's the same European release date as Crysis 2 and the Nintendo 3DS, by the way.

First Strike was first released on Xbox 360 more than a month ago, then hit PlayStation 3 on March 3.

Steam prices the First Strike DLC, which adds a total of five maps to Black Ops' core, at £11.49 - though you can save 10 per cent if you buy it now. The five new maps include one map exclusive to Black Ops' zombie mode.
