UK specialist retailer Gamestation has launched a new iPhone app to the AppStore today.

The app is available for free and allows new customers the ability to browse titles across all formats, as well as see what the top pre-orders currently are. The app supplies product details, screenshots, user reviews and trailer videos through a gallery system.

Customers who have signed up to a Gamestation account will also be able to sign in to the app and use an express checkout function to make purchases. A GPS function will direct users to their nearest store, should they wish to buy their games in person.

Gamestation has promised that all orders made through the app will be made with the same delivery dates and quality of service that customers might expect from stores or internet shopping.

We know our gamestation customers think about gaming 24/7 – well, if they have an iPhone or iPod Touch, they now they have a way to get their fix whenever they want and wherever they are," said Gamestation's Paul Howes.

"They can use it to find the nearest gamestation store and get their hands on what they want right there and then. Or if they can’t get to a store, they can reach for their iPhone, order away and it’ll be with them within a couple of days!
