The pre-order bonus for Alien: Isolation will include two bonus missions featuring a significant portion of the cast of the original Alien.

Cast members from Ridley Scott’s 1979 space horror that will be lending their voices and appearances to the game include Sigourney Weaver, Tom Skerritt, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton, Yaphet Kotto and Ian Holm.

The pre-order upgrades the game to the ‘Nostromo edition’ and the two new missions allow players to take part in two of the iconic scenes from Alien. The first, ‘Crew Expendable’ gives players the chance to try and lure the alien into the airlock on board the ship shortly after it kills its first victim. The second mission, ‘Last Survivor’, puts you in Ripley’s shoes as she tries to escape the ship once the rest of the crew is dead.

‘It was important to us to have the key original cast members reprise their roles in order to perfectly capture the atmosphere of the movie. For some of the original cast, this is their first appearance in an Alien video game. Seeing them reprise those roles after 35 years was an unforgettable experience,’ said Alien: Isolation creative lead Alistair Hope.

Alien: Isolation is being made by Total War developer Creative Assembly and is due to be released in October on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and PC. Whereas most games in the franchise have so far focused on James Cameron’s more action-focused Aliens, Isolation is instead attempting to recreate the more hostile horror-based atmosphere of the first Alien film.
