At the end of Episode 1, Alyx - and the intriguing packet of Combine data that she downloaded from within the Citadel - was pictured holding on precariously. You'll never guess, but she makes it through fine, and proceeds to join Gordon in a mission to deliver the information to her dad, scientist Eli Vance, and Dr Kleiner.
We're promised more info about the G-man and his apparent collusion with the Vortigaunts. There's another upgrade to the Gravity Gun (groan) and a new Strider-smashing weapon.
There's also news that a multiplayer game will ship with Episode 2. What could it be? Surely not Team Fortress 2?!
News that we're hearing puts Episode 2 just the wrong side of Christmas. Let us know if you're hungry for it over in the forums.
