Top 10 Games Chart

Top 10 Games Chart

Medal of Honor tops GameStation's multiplatform chart this week, somehow.

This week we've been playing heavily into Obsidian Entertainment's games, playing through Fallout: New Vegas for our impending review and revisiting Alpha Protocol. We've also been trying (and failing) to resist the lure of Minecraft, which may be the most addictive game we've ever played.

What games have the rest of you been playing and buying? We take a look at a duet (no ELSPA chart this week due to technical problems) of games charts to find out.

First up, we look at the top ten games in the UK, according to the Game retail chain...

1. Medal of Honor - PC, PS3, Xbox 360
2. FIFA 11 - DS, PSP, PC, PS3, Xbox 360
3. Dead Rising 2 - PC, PS3, Xbox 360
4. PES 2011 - PC, PS3, Xbox 360
5. Castlevania: Lord of Shadow - PS3, Xbox 360
6. Just Dance 2 - Wii
7. Party - Wii
8. Mass Effect 2 - PC, Xbox 360
9. Halo: Reach - Xbox 360
10. Formula 1 2010 - PC, PS3, Xbox 360

And last, but not least, the daily Steam top ten for PC and Mac...

1. Fallout: New Vegas
2. Medal of Honor
3. Sid Meier's Civilization V
4. Disciples 3: Renaissance Steam Special Editon - 50 per cent off
5. Left 4 Dead 2
6. Cities XL 2011
7. ArcaniA - Gothic 4
8. Disciples 2 Gold - 50 per cent off
9. Tales of Monkey Island: Complete Pack - 86 per cent off
10. The Ball (pre-order) - 10 per cent off

Let us know what you've bought this week in the forums.

Because they dont have the PC game chart up this week for some reason, it hasnt been on the multiplatform retail chart for god knows how long.
Interesting that in the main chart theres only 2 wii games, usually theres plenty of them (if you count multi platform releases.

But the two games are Wii exclusive, and managed to shift enough to make it to 6&7 whereas the only other exclusive is Halo on the xbox two places lower.

So hype and a little marketing goes along way as you can see for #1. Unfortunately for bit tech and other review sites, people don't seem to take note of your reviews. :>

/just a small dig :P

Or do they :P (steam chart)

well Medal of Honor isn't a bad game. I personally wouldn't buy it because I already got games that fill its role.
But I'm sure a lot of gamers out there who don't mind forking out for some more modern warfare action.
Not surprising. I knew MoH wasn't going to bomb entirely but it will not sell as many copies as CoD: Black Ops. Thats for sure.

I've only played one on that list (Mass Effect 2) and to be honest I can't even say I'm interested in playing the others! Seems many people have strange taste in games.

Not strange, unique.
